The Longacres are a close-knit family who have lived in the area for decades. Throughout that time, Longacre family members have been actively involved in both the community-at-large and the business community. Today, three generations of the Longacre family are associated with Farm & Home Oil Company helping it to progress and evolve in order to better serve their customers.
The family's association with Farm & Home Oil Company began in 1980 when Kenneth Longacre joined the board of directors. In 1990, Kenneth acquired the company, and in the decade that followed, transformed it into a regional supplier of fuel oil and related products built on a foundation of outstanding customer service. Like his father before him, Kenneth understands the role business plays in contributing to a better community and has made community service a priority in his life.
In 1998, Kenneth began the process of turning the company over to his children. Today, Richard, Kenneth Jr., Donna, Beth and a large, extended family of Longacres are working together to advance the company. By honoring a legacy of excellence, while building their own identity through leadership and sound business practices, the new generation of Longacres is setting a course that will successfully guide the company for years to come.
